What Do White People Think Black People Need?

This episode is somewhat interesting in it's information about how underprivileged and back people who "strive" for more, head to college and otherwise advance past their communities .  The evidence is mostly anecdotal, yet reasonable.  The more interesting part is the bias.  It almost sounds like the authors see advancement as a bad thing.  They tend toward seeing this as a problem to be solved FOR THEM.  It makes me wonder are WE the right ones to be solving THEIR problems though our reseach, ideas, and lensing?
