Wix has SO many cool templates. Here are a few starting tips.
You should plan on doing a sort of draft with your Wix templates. Meaning you will build a site quickly and without concern for how it looks because this site will only be a draft.
For sure plan on building a site that is just one long home page with many sections. In the end you can either stick with this, and/or you can add a [ READ MORE ] button on the sections you decide to make into full pages. This is important because it will inform what templates you care more and less about. You can pick templates with lots of pages, it super simple to hide them later, and revive them in the future.
Be aware of the super amazing images that Wix uses. A lot of Wix templates look amazing because they have amazing graphics and images. It can be tough to replicate that when you need images for your actual site. Yes, Wix offer fantastic stock images, but it can still be challenging if your template is highly image driven.
Be open to templates that are not in your category. I have many times started with a business site but ended up drawing from an event template.
Time is all we really have. Template shopping can really suck you in. Be aware that there is at some point a time to move on.
Copy all the templates you like on your first pass. You can delete things later.
